About Meat Church
A meal in Central Texas redirected Matt Pittman's attention toward barbecue. The salt-and-pepper brisket he tasted there showed the expressive power of a few essentials and anchors the beginning of Meat Church's story.
Matt Pittman learned a durable kitchen lesson from Grandma June in Alabama: simplicity and good flavor belong together. Cookouts behind the house became competitive barbecue, and the work ultimately placed him on BBQ Pitmasters. As the journey expanded, Meat Church Holy Cow became Matt Pittman's first rub.
For Meat Church, community means giving barbecue lovers tools as well as seasonings. When you want to break a technique into manageable steps, use the Learn guideswhen preparation raises a question. Meat Church pairs those explanations with seasonings so cooks can build skill and enjoy the process.
Texas is home for Matt Pittman, his wife, Tracie, and their four kids; the pit naturally remains part of that family setting.
